Herbal Reference Guide

We were surprised in an age when an herb's literary appearance was stereotypically limited to inclusion in tomes of encyclopedic nature or scientific papers, to find a book clarifying the characteristics of a select few.
The information needed to cultivate, harvest and fully utilize some of the general populace's most popular herbs is contained within the covers of this one volume intended to be an inexpensive, easy reference guide.
Perhaps the author said it best when she wrote, "These fourteen herbs are some of those most commonly purchased and used by the average gardener/cook in this country. I've attempted to provide a well-rounded picture of each from its place in history, medicinal and culinary attributes, optimal growth conditions, harvesting, recipes and projects for children and adults alike. Included in each chapter are various different hints and suggestions regarding cultivation, storage, and utilization that pertain not only to the herb being discussed, but to all herbs."
The fourteen herbs discussed include, basil, coriander/cilantro, dill, ginger, lavender, lemon balm, licorice, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary, sage, tarragon and thyme.
We of the Forum for Quizzical Minds wish you a healthy and herb filled day.
